Getting to Know Janice

Posted by: helpjanice on: 5 March 2009

Dear Visitor:

First of all, allow me to thank you for visiting this website, it means you are a person with a generous heart willing to extend some of your time for another person in need.

This website is dedicated to help Ms. Janice Pilapil, a 29 year-old mother of a 4-year-old twin. Janice used to work for the Madrigal Foundation based in the Ateneo de Naga University campus in Naga City. It’s a job she was forced to leave when her medical condition started to deteriorate in the latter part of 2008. Her husband, Mr. Alex Pilapil, is a laboratory technician of the Ateneo de Naga University, Digital Arts and Computer Animation (DACA) department.

Janice has had the symptoms of Lupus way before it was medically brought to her attention last year. However, due to the fact that Lupus is not a very common medical condition, at least in Naga City, and due to the deceiving mildness of those earlier symptoms, it didn’t rouse much concern for the couple until it showed certain degree of disturbing progress as indicated in her medical history and as shown by her most recent photos (please see medical history or photos).

Before all these, Janice is a dynamic mother of two living a normal life working and attending to her family. She is a high spirited person who takes life’s challenges in a stride taking comfort and great fulfillment in her two young twins. Unfortunately, since December of last year, she hasn’t seen her kids whom they were forced to leave in Bicol when they sought medical attention in Manila.

Currently, Janice is confined at the National Kidney Institute in Quezon City in an attempt to arrest the symptomatic effects of Lupus. Despite the difficult and painful state she is in, Janice still maintains a positive attitude towards life. Her faith in the Lord’s miraculous compassion and her faith in the numerous people who have extended support and prayers, makes this ordeal tolerable than it actually is.

Please constantly include Janice in your prayers. Two young kids eagerly await the return of a mother whom they have been missing for the past 3 months.

For those who may be interested to help financially, but would like further clarification, please feel free to leave a comment in this blog or email any of the following people:

Ms. Ma. Felda Alarkon

Or you may choose to directly send your donation to Mr. Alex Pilapil’s bank account specified in this site.

Thank you very much for your time and help. May the good Lord bless and keep you and your many beloved safe and healthy.

Hi everyone! HAPPY RESURRECTION!! ‘Sorry if it took me quite some time before posting anything here for all of you.My brief silence doesn’t mean I don’t value everything you all have done for me and my family. God knows how much I’m in deep gratitude with God for sending ALL OF YOU to me. Thank You for being my ANGELS!! Until this very moment, I am still very much overwhelmed and still in great owe of how God works in all of us. You are always included in my prayers and in my thoughts with God.

God be with you always & forever! May I now take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for all you support. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your genuine acts of kindness, generosity, your words of encouragement & sympathy, and your powerful PRAYERS, most of all, have greatly helped and is continually uplifting me and my family in getting through with these most trying moments of our lives.

I am still here in QC, staying in an apartment for my follow-up check -ups and close monitoring of my doctors particularly my skin and kidneys.I had new rashes lately which my doctors suspect to be “vasculitis”. They are also suspecting that it is already the brand of steroids (Prednisone) I’m taking which causes me to “rash” – that I’m forming some kind of “immunity” to Prednisone already, maybe because of it’s long-term intake already. That’s why they changed it to “Medrol” brand – more expensive than Prednisone. My doctors are still monitoring how will i respond to Medrol.

But I’m okay, in God’s grace. The rahes are again starting to peel in some parts, the redness are fading. God is healing me! I’m focusing my life to HIM now(Whom I have proven from this great experience to be the Only One in control of everything in our lives) through the help of Prayer-healing Ministries here which God led me to attend to. God’s healing is in progress with me.He is really in control of everything!

I trust and believe that God has a GREAT PURPOSE for allowing all these to happen and that purpose will always be for our own good. I’m quite excited to find out what it is.

May I ask that you please continue to join me in prayers for my total recovery & healing so i could already go home in Naga and finally re-unite with my family there, in God’s will.

Last March 30 toApril 2, 2009, my babies visited me here in my place. They stayed for less than a week. ‘hope we could soon post our latest photos in this site for you. It was the most happiest moment of my life, seeing my family complete again before my very eyes. The long-wait, patience & faith were very much worth it!Your sacrifices and help are all worth it! And I THANK U ALL SO MUCH for making that moment come true for our family. God is really good!God bless you all!

May the Good Lord shower you and your family with more blessings, love, peace and good health!
